Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) - This organization has more than 120,000 groups in roughly 180 countries.

anxiety.org - Committed to making mental health information accessible, inclusive, and easy-to-understand.

autismspeaks.org – Good website for both autism and Asperger’s. 

​

Centerforloss.com – compassionate site for individuals who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

dbsalliance.org - Provides help, support, and education to improve the lives of people who have mood disorders.

​

helpguide.org - Articles and self-help tools covering topics from abuse to suicide prevention.

lgbthotline.org – A confidential safe space where youth can speak about sexual orientation or gender. identity/expression issues.

mentalhealth.gov - One-stop access to government mental health resources and educational information.

mhanational.org - Well organized site providing mental health resources, self-screening tools, and information.

 

nami.org. - The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a nationwide, grassroots mental health organization. NAMI offers educational programs, advocates for individuals and families affected by mental illness, and operates a toll-free helpline.
 

pflag.org - The nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

ptsd.va.gov – Excellent resource for learning and understanding PTSD, accessing toolkits and referrals.

​

rainn.org – The nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.  They operate a 24/7 hotline where individuals can receive crisis counseling and referrals to victims services.

​

sexaholicsanonymous.org – Individuals meet to work through an unhealthy addiction to sex, promiscuity, adultery, dependency on relationships, and/or pornography.

​

thehotline.org – National domestic violence hotline has been in effect for 25 years.  They provide crisis intervention, safety plans, education and referrals.

​

thetrevorproject.org – Provides mental health services, advocacy, research & community support to LGBTQ young people 24/7.

 

veteranscrisisline.net – Free and confidential call, chat or text for veterans and their loved ones.  Offers crisis support and can connect with local resources.

PTSD Coach - Smartphone application from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to help people experiencing PTSD learn about and manage their symptoms.

The Safe Place - Free smartphone app focused on psychoeducation and self-care for minority mental health, geared towards the Black community.
